Stephen Jelley scored his second pole position of the season in qualifying for Round 13 of the 2007 Lloyds TSB Insurance British F3 International Series, two tenths of a second ahead of Free Practice pace setter Maro Engel with a time of 2m14.076, the fastest lap of the weekend so far.

Sam Bird was the top rookie and will head up row 2 with Atte Mustonen, with the Finn holding to top spot early in the 30-minute session.

Marko Asmer will start tomorrows race in 29th place after the team battled against time to get the Estonian's damaged Dallara repaired, completing the work in just 90-minutes, so he could take part in qualifying. Asmer got onto the track but was only able to complete one flying lap before the chequered flag came out to end the session.

Stephen Jelley comented on his pole position: "Yes that was very good! Spa is one of the most challenging circuits that we go to and is one of the circuits that everyone rates as one of the best in the world so to get pole position is pretty mega really. The conditions were kind of ideal because the sun wasn't out and it was better for the tyres and the engine. The race is at a similar time tomorrow and we're looking pretty good."
