Hohenthal takes maiden pole in Thruxton heat

Sebastian Hohenthal took his maiden British F3 pole position in qualifying for Round 17 at Thruxton. On a very hot Thruxton circuit the Brands Hatch race winner posted a time of 1m06.346, 0.272 ahead of Atte Mustonen.

The second row was claimed by Carlin with Niall Breen in 3rd, 0.12 seconds ahead of Sam Bird.

Championship contenders Marko Asmer and Maro Engel could only manage 9th and 15th on the grid respectively.

'Frankie' Cheng took his third National Class pole ahead of Sergio Perez.
