Hohenthal joins Fortec

20 February 2008

Sebastian Hohenthal will remain with Daventry based Fortec Motorsport to fight for the 2008 British Formula 3 International Series title. The 2006 British Formula Renault champion is aiming to repeat the success with the team that he have been a part of since 2005. Then he can add himself to the list of two former Swedish Formula 1 drivers that have also won the British F3 crown in the past, Gunnar Nilsson in 1975 and Stefan Johansson in 1980.

Hohenthal finished 9th overall in his first season of British F3, taking a race win at Brands Hatch, three further podium finishes including two in the final two races of the season at Rockingham and he set a new F3 lap record at Oulton Park on his series debut.

Fortec team principal, Richard Dutton commented "It's great to have Sebastian back with the team for another season. He really is a phenomenal talent and a fantastic personality to have within the team. I'm sure he'll be fighting for race-wins from the start and is certain to be a championship contender".
