Grubmuller takes maiden pole for second race

Austrian veteran Walter Grubmuller earned his maiden Cooper Tires British F3 International Series pole position this afternoon at Oulton Park, the Hitech Racing pilot setting the fastest time in the day's second qualifying session.

Grubmuller, 20, will start Monday afternoon's championship Round 2 from top spot, with Daniel Ricciardo alongside him in the Carlin Dallara-Volkswagen. F3 newcomer Riki Christodoulou will line up third on the grid, top Brit, in his Fortec-prepared Dallara-Mercedes, with Nick Tandy in his Mygale in fourth. Round 1 pole-sitter Max Chilton could not repeat his lightning form, but will still be starting fifth.
