Adriano Buzaid has been informed by event stewards that he will retake his fifth position on the Hockenheim starting grid for race one, having lost the place due a penalty. The Brazilian is the leading T-Sport car and lines up on the third row after qualifying just over half a second down on pole man Renger Van der Zande.
Having originally qualified fifth on Friday ahead of Saturday's first race, Brazilian Buzaid lost his best effort having been judged of setting the lap in question under yellow flag conditions. As another three drivers received the same fate, a complaint lodged by the T-Sport team proved successful, claiming that stewards had mixed up the car with team-mate Wayne Boyd, who also received the punishment and drops to 13th.
Final confirmation of the grid revealed that Buzaid will indeed start from his original qualifying place of fifth, sharing the row with the Räikkönen Robertson Racing car of Colombia's Carlos Huertas.
